     So..life has changed quite a bit since my last update. I have been teaching art at a private studio in my hometown for a year now. I teach Preschoolers through Adults. So far I have taught Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Mixed Media (Adult), Sculpture, and private lessons. I have also worked as a paraprofessional/home instructor for a local school district, and a substitute teacher.  This year I will be subbing and teaching art at the studio again.      I lost my wonderful father in September of 2012. Losing him put my art and just about everything else on hold for quite a while. I was just too emotional

So...I haven't written anything on here for a long time. Many things have changed since then. I finished my student teaching that I was so nervous about before. I also graduated from college on December 10th, 2011. Now it's kind of like a waiting game. I wait to hear about an art education opening in my area or in Ohio at least. While I am waiting I have applied to become a substitute in the districts surrounding my home town. Some big news is that I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in the mail today and I graduated Cum Laude.         Now that college is over I feel like I am at a standstill. I have been going to school since I was five

So...I started out my summer doing May term for school. I took Graphic Design 2 and my last Art Education Class before student teaching. The last week of May term I found out my Dad has cancer. That was a horrible week...I had finals with all that on my mind. Well dad was supposed to go in for surgery yesterday which was my birthday but they found infection. He was in the hospital from Friday until yesterday. They rescheduled his surgery for next Monday. Hopefully all goes well and the cancer gets removed. During all this I am studying for my Art Content Praxis Exam which falls on July 23...just a month away...and studying is not going well..
